Drainage ditch excavation project in North Alabama. We used a Komatsu PC120 for the excavation work. Excavating down to the hard-pan to prevent further erosion. A Case 455 loader was used to grade the ditch down to the desired elevation. Because of the depth of the drainage ditch these two machines were paired together to minimalize the cost of the project and to maximize the productivity of the job. With the amount of dirt to be re-arranged the loader coupled with a 4-in-1 bucket worked excellent in moving and leveling the excavated material.
